How to set up HD for an Insignia lcd tv 32"?

I own an insignia lcd tv 32". I just purchased an HDMI cable to connect to my Playstation 3, but I'm not sure of the correct channel or settings the tv needs to be set to. I have it on HD1 and the picture cannot be seen, but I can hear the dvd.

HDMI from PS3 to TV and that's all the cabling you should have to do.

On the TV side of things, make sure you're on the correct input. So if you have multiple HDMI slots, make sure you set the TV to the same one that the cable is plugged

So, what have I been up to lately?

I went to Akureyri for one weekend. I drove north with mum and dad then I flew back because I couldn't get days off work. When we started the sky was clear in Reykjavík, when we got north to Akureyri I took this kick-ass photo of the sunset (well, not sunset, the place is in a fjord, so when the sun disappeared behind the mountains), and that was the last I saw of the sun in Akureyri that weekend. Then when I left on the Saturday at 8PM the plane took off <BLAM> got into the clouds and soon <WOOSH!> was through them. And then I could see that the clouds covered Akureyri and areas close by. My sister's boyfriend has kinda gotten us (me and my sister) to agree to go get our motorcycle licence with him. Good luck to me considering how awesome I'm with the scooter. In related news, I looked at used motorcycles here, and it's hard to find one that doesn't have a silly large engine. I was looking for something with a 250cc engine and most of what I found was 600cc and upwards with many around 1000cc. I just don't get it. I've bought a flatscreen TV. Flatscreen TVs (meaning any TV that isn't a CRT) are to some people a sign of the excesses of the good times in Iceland. But just good luck in finding a new CRT TV for sale. It's a Philips something or other, 32 inch, 100Hz, 1080p. Watched a DVD on it, and it looked fuzzy, I guess I'll look into getting a BluRay player one day.
