Why I get opccasional black static pixels when playing a DVD on my 32 HDTV?

Sometimes I get one lone black 1"x2" black square, roughly center on the 32 HDTV (sometimes it will flash on-off). Occasionally I get two widely spaced apart black "pixel"-like black rectangles. ONLY when I play a DVD. Not when viewing

your problem is probobly the disc, or the dvd player. try using more than 1 dvd, or using a brand new dvd. if not, repace th dvd player r have it fixed

Some 3DTV stuff. Advice is welcomed.

I've been looking at 3D from the sidelines, considering picking up a rig through attrition, going on a component by component basis. That would provide enough time to see how the market looks, including hardware and content. Doing so would sacrifice any sort of package savings, but would potentially save even more as prices drop. Today, I stumbled on a deal that at least demanded looking into, a 50" Samsung plasma, a player, the Samsung starter kit, and an additional pair of [rechargeable] 3D glasses. It wasn't a bad deal at $1600, but the $300 promo credit I had on my account there made it simply too good to ignore. The credit expires tomorrow, so it's crunch time. On the line is a full 3D package (except for a receiver; mine don't support 3D+lossless audio) for a couple hundred less than the cheapest standalone 3D HDTV on the market. So here is where I am torn. This is a great deal as far as I can tell, but not quite must-have. By that I mean that 3D is still an uncertainty, despite a surge of theatrical releases in the third dimension and Sony standing firmly behind the technology, confirming several of their most awaited games as supporting 3D at release. Most of the confirmed 3D Blu-Ray releases are [at least rumored to be] available exclusively in hardware bundles just as Monsters vs Aliens 3D is found only in the Samsung starter kit. Note that Avatar is supposedly in that group as well after an agreement with Panasonic. The package is a couple hundred more...
